More fear and paranoia WT-style! (11/15/13 WT)
by LostGeneration ini usually dismiss the "drinking the kool aid" scenarios that are posted from time to time, but the latest wt has another bit of fearmongering.
the quote from page 20, para 17. elders who are reading this article can draw some useful conclusions from the account we have just considered: (1) the most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of the assyrian is that of strengthening our faith in god and helping our brothers to do the same.
(2) when the assyrian attacks, the elders must be absolutely convinced that jehovah will deliver us.

So instead of a humble approach that they hoping for Jehovah´s help "...the elders must be absolutely convinced that Jehovah will deliver us"
A humble attitude?

Despite God inspired writers, despite no man´s opinion is expressed in the Watchtower publications, there are many mistakes. I didn´t knew that God makes mistakes -

Thanks FadeTo Black!
I found this:
Proclaimers of God's Kingdom 1993 Pg. 633: "Following 1925, meeting attendance dropped dramatically in some congregations... Again, in 1975, there was disappointment when expectations regarding the start of the Millennium failed to materialize. Again, some withdrew from the organization."
In the Watchtower (2011-07-15) it says "This organization has NEVER disappointed us and ALWAYS gives us an abundance of pure water of truth from God´s Word". Is this new light correct?

Luckily the Watchtower has now (2012 Aug 15) changed its mind and want us to learn "all we can about the history of Jehovah´s organization"

At least it´s a good thing that you don´t need to be forced to choose between your belief and your family.

What are the best questions to ask an elder?
by DarkFireWolf inso my parents cannot answer my question and are pretty much pushing me to go to the elders for an answer so i'd like to know what the best questions to ask an elder are.my first question is going to be the mediator one..and if he tells me it's the 144,000 or the anointed, i'll ask him to show me where it says that in the bible.what are some other tough questions for an elder to answer?assuming we can get past the mediator one of course.i'm going to hold off on asking about new light or 607... also, has anyone ever asked about how satan can cause wwi in july if he wasn't expelled from heaven until christ became king in october?i haven't gotten much of an answer to that either..
